On this page you will find answers to majority of the questions that might be in your mind to ask me. If there is something I have not mentioned then please click here and send me a personalized questions so I can answer it promptly.

How can I request a price quote for my event?

Click on the "Get a Quote" link at the top and fill out my short form. The data will help me better put together a customized package for your event.

Do you take requests at your events?

Requests are always welcome and if I don't have that particular song then I would suggest a similar song in that genre category and nine times out of ten, the person who requested that song would be just as happy.

How long have you been a DJ and mixing?

I started mixing in 1994 at small house parties and clubs all over DeKalb, IL and Chicago, IL. Shortly after that, in 1996, I started taking private parties like weddings and sweet sixteen events to branch out in the market. After that I started perfecting my skills as a DJ and entertainer to accommodate any type of event I come across.

Do you talk on the microphone at your events?

It depends on the particular event, but majority of the time I am on the microphone. I always make it a habit to help the event coordinator with making announcements, informing guests on the status of the evening, or if there is any crucial or urgent information that needs to get out.

Do you meet with the client before the event date?

Communication is the key here. So if it takes one visit or if it takes 100 visits with the client, my goal is to make every event go smooth and enjoyable for all the guests that are attending the event.

How do you organize and play the music I want at my event?

Organization and detail is something I take pride in, working with the client on selecting the songs that he wants is a detailed process, but makes everyone happy in the end. I ask the client to provide me a play list and a DO NOT playlist. This way I have a guideline to what songs I can and cannot play during the event. My goal is to play all the songs on the list and if there is still more time I would add my own songs that would be similar to the ones the client picked.

How much equipment do you bring to your event?

This depends entirely on each event. I customize each event to meet every client’s needs and requirements. I visit the event location to make sure that all my equipment that I bring will work the best in the space that is provided.

How much music do you bring with you to a party?

I have converted majority of my music on CDs to electronic format, so I typically bring close to 300 Gigs of music. That is about 2000 songs on a hard drive. I also bring my some CDs just in case I don’t have it on my hard drive.

Do you have backup equipment for an event if something goes wrong?

I keep backup equipment on hand when the client specifically requests for them. I typically make sure that all the electrical connections to my equipment meet the necessary standards and codes so there will not be any issues during the event. I work very closely with the location’s manager or coordinator.
